IRS, State & Local Representation

Receive a tax or audit notice?  You can rest easy knowing we are routinely successful in minimizing or cancelling penalties, and have years of experience resolving tax matters and representing our clients in audits involving the IRS, state or local tax authorities.  You will gain peace of mind knowing you will have little or no involvement with tax authorities.

QuickBooks Training

Because the majority of our client companies utilize a QuickBooks accounting format, and many of our clients wish to perform their own day-to-day accounting, we are QuickBooks specialists (registered QuickBooks ProAdvisors) and commonly assist our clientele with setting up their Company in QuickBooks. We have created a special one-on-one quick start lesson, utilizing the latest version of QuickBooks, and designed to get you up and running in a hurry! Our hands-on lesson is approximately two hours long and presented via the internet. Afterwards, if you need help entering a transaction, or running a report, just give us a call.

Our Fees

The fees you will be charged are based on the amount of time expended at billable rates ranging from $75/hr. to $285/hr. depending upon staff assignment. These rates include costs for copies, postage and domestic telephone charges. For most of our clients, the average range of charges for preparing annual financial statements and federal/state tax returns is $2,500 – $5,500. This does not include, and you may be billed for, courier, international phone charges, or other unexpected out-of-pocket expenses, which may arise (however, this is rare).

We will begin the preparation of your financial statements and annual tax returns upon receipt of your retainer deposit. We currently require a retainer deposit of $2,000 to begin substantial services. Your retainer will be held in trust and applied toward fees and costs as earned and incurred. The requested retainer is based on our knowledge of average billings and can be affected by various factors: our discussions concerning your business, average client billings, and experience. Your retainer payment is not meant to be a guarantee of the amount to be billed for services, but is unfortunately, a necessary part of doing business, in response to a high degree of non-collectible receivables from other businesses in the past.

A portion of your retainer may be refunded, if the situation warrants and likewise, you may be billed for services performed in excess of the retainer, if necessary. As a professional, we are sure you are aware that it is difficult to quote prices for time-based services in advance. Although it is possible to give you a range of cost, we reserve the right to apply our billable rates to the work performed. As time goes on, and we become more familiar with your business affairs, performance will tend to be increasingly more efficient.

Please know that we will not excessively bill for our services. However, this is not to say that you will always be billed the same amount, but will be billed fairly for the time expended to responsibly perform the services your company requires.

Payment Policy

Payments for services are due when invoices are rendered, and monthly invoices may be submitted as work progresses and expenses, if any, are incurred. Invoices are considered past due if not paid within 30 days of the invoice date.  If no attempt is made to bring the account current then past due invoices may be subject to collection proceedings.  In the event we stop work or withdraw from an engagement as a result of failure to pay on a timely basis for services rendered, we shall not be liable for any damages that occur as a result of our cessation of services. At our discretion, final work product will not be released until payment is made in full (mandatory for new clients, up to three years).  Payments for services are non-refundable.
